What is a Rescue Bar?

One of the most common questions I’ve been asked during craft shows this year has been “So what is a Rescue Bar?” The simple answer is that it’s a chapstick for your body. It’s a solid intensive moisturizer (similar to a massage bar) in a compostable or recyclable paper tube.

I created the Rescue Bar because I love the intensity of solid moisturizers, but strongly dislike greasy residue on my hands. I needed a way to apply the goodness without touching it. Paper tubes to the rescue! The tube offers a convenient storage option so that the bar doesn’t get dirty between uses, it also allows for easy mess-free application, and makes the Rescue Bar super travel-friendly. Toss it in your bag, and have an intense moisture boost whenever you need it!

A little bit goes a long way— the main ingredients are cocoa and kokum butters, which are heavy-duty moisturizers. I like using the Rescue Bar all over to seal in moisture right after a shower, while my skin is still warm and damp. Thanks to the combo of butters, the rescue bar just glides right on.

Here are a few other uses:

  • Keep cuticles happy (esp in the winter)

  • Hydration boost to dry patches such as elbows or knees

  • Moisturize your feet without having to touch them!

  • On-the-go moisture stick for your purse, gym bag, or carry-on.

Rescue bars make great unique & sustainable gifts. Thanks to the paperboard packaging, this is a guilt-free zero-waste purchase!

Use regularly for silky-smooth happily moisturized skin
