Looking for a convenient and effective way to moisturize on the go? New England Apothecary Rescue Bar is a mess-free and zero-waste intensive solid moisturizer. Bursting with plant-based nutrients and fatty acids, a little goes a long way to quench the driest patches of skin.
My unique formula is rich in cocoa butter, a natural emollient that deeply moisturizes and nourishes the skin. It's perfect for dry, rough patches and leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth. The compact size of the stick makes it easy to toss in your bag and cute enough to display on your desk, so you can moisturize anytime, anywhere.
Not only is this moisturizing stick effective, it's also eco-friendly. The compostable paper tube is a sustainable alternative to traditional plastic packaging, making it better for the environment.
Each bar contains 1.8oz poured in a recyclable or compostable paper tube.
I created the New England Apothecary Rescue Bar to help care for my skin with deeply hydrating oils and butters without creating a greasy mess. I also wanted to be able to use the bar to the last bit without collecting dust or requiring secondary containment. The simple push-up stick package achieves both goals, and makes the bar quite travel-friendly.
This delicate blend of organic, fair-trade cocoa butter and coconut oil, kokum butter, and apricot kernel oil deeply moisturizes without blocking pores. An added mixture of natural waxes imparts additional structural integrity to the bar and a protective barrier to the skin to help lock in moisture. I've added a touch of a sustainably sourced plant-based emollient that helps these skin-loving ingredients penetrate deeply into the skin while also imparting a de-greasing effect, so my Rescue Bar shouldn’t feel excessively greasy or heavy after application.

- Tahitian vanilla - Warm, sun-drenched, delicate floral vanilla for when you want to be instantly transported from your hectic life to a peaceful vacation: sun at perfect cast, hammock, book in hand, and delicate floral fragrance caught up on the breeze. Glide onto skin as needed, inhale, and let your mind wander through paradise.
- Grapefruit - Bright and bursting with energy, NEA Grapefruit essence is the little ray of sunshine in your morning routine. Here's to waking up full of energy pre-alarm as morning sunshine bursts through your bedside window. Greet the day, take a deep breath, stretch, get that run in, and take a moment for yourself post-shower as you anoint yourself for the day ahead with grapefruit energizer-infused butters. For best results, glide on all-over post shower to seal in moisture.
- Sea Salt - Sea Salt captures the essence of the rugged north Atlantic coastline. Its crisp, mineral quality elicits waves hounding bare rock and breaking to scatter oceanic mists across a grass-lined shore. Grounded in rosemary and lavender, this fragrance is as wide open, powerful, and soothing as the ocean herself.
- Fragrance-Free: no fragrance added - will have very mild fragrance of natural ingredients used
Apply to rough spots such as knees, elbows, feet, or anywhere that could use a moisture boost twice daily. For best results, use immediately after a shower, while skin has not yet fully dried. Can also be used as a post-waxing skin conditioner, or as a solid cuticle oil to keep your nail beds happy all winter long.
For external use only, and I do not recommended use on the face.
